Fair use

Terms of Service

By using the site, you agree to use the game, guides and public leaderboard lawfully and without disrupting other players.

Using the Game

The game and guides are provided for personal entertainment and information. You may play without creating an account or paying a fee. Do not probe, overload, bypass security controls or use the service in a way that damages availability for other visitors.

Leaderboard Rules

Submit only a score produced by your own normal play through the public game interface. Automated play, modified requests, fabricated events, tampered sessions and attempts to exploit the submission system are prohibited. A public player name must not impersonate another person, expose private information, advertise unrelated services or contain abusive, unlawful or misleading material.

Entries may be rejected, shortened, hidden or removed when they violate these rules, fail verification, appear technically impossible or threaten the integrity of the ranking. The site may correct ordering, ties or display errors. A place in the Top 100 is not permanent and has no cash value.

Intellectual Property and Attribution

The original 2048 project was released under the MIT License. This independent website also contains its own text, layout, server features and leaderboard presentation. Open-source attribution does not grant permission to copy unrelated site content, branding or private server code. See Source & License for the original project credits.

No Guarantee

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Although reasonable care is taken, uninterrupted access, permanent score retention, error-free guides and compatibility with every browser cannot be guaranteed. Strategy articles describe approaches that can improve consistency, not a promise that a player will reach a particular tile or rank.

Changes

Features, leaderboard rules and these terms may change to improve security, comply with law or keep the service practical. Material changes will be reflected here with a new update date. Continued use after a change means the updated terms apply from that point.
